On December 11, Longines officially opened its new direct store at the Swatch Art Peace Hotel in Shanghai. Matthias Breschan, CEO of Longines, Xie Qi, Vice President of Longines China, and Longines Ambassador Eddie Peng were present for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. At the same time, the brand launched the new Conquest Heritage Snake Year Zodiac Limited Edition Watch.
To celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year and the Year of the Snake, Longines invited renowned artist and professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Wu Jian’an, to create the special totem, which is engraved on the back of the watch. The new Conquest Heritage Snake Year Zodiac Limited Edition Watch was unveiled as a special New Year’s offering. This limited edition timepiece is available in only 2025 pieces worldwide. During the event, CEO Matthias Breschan, Vice President Xie Qi, Ambassador Eddie Peng, and artist Wu Jian’an revealed the watch.
The New Longines Conquest Heritage Snake Year Zodiac Limited Edition Watch
The Conquest Heritage Snake Year Zodiac Limited Edition features a Lingxi red dial and is designed with the collection’s signature hands and three-dimensional hour markers. The design exudes harmony and sophistication. The screw-down case back is engraved with the snake totem, symbolizing blessings of wealth, health, peace, and safety, to be shared with the world. These wishes ripple outward like the concentric circles of the snake, representing continuity and longevity. At the event, Eddie Peng shared his admiration for the watch: "This timepiece draws inspiration from Chinese traditional culture. It is like a work of art that carries blessings, reflecting Longines’ unwavering pursuit of elegance and precision."
At the event, four distinguished guests participated in a live calligraphy session and shared the happiness, hope, and good wishes symbolized by the ancient totem with the guests. Longines CEO Matthias Breschan remarked, "Longines has always had a deep respect for the art of time. With the Chinese Lunar Snake Year approaching, the launch of the Conquest Heritage Snake Year Zodiac Limited Edition Watch is a tribute to Chinese tradition and symbolizes Longines’ commitment to preserving heritage while embracing innovation."

During the event, Longines also created a distinctive New Year’s market. The design incorporated red and gold tones, inspired by the snake and lingzhi elements, creating a striking visual effect. Traditional motifs such as ruyi (auspicious symbols) and clouds were used to bring good fortune and celebrate the festive spirit. Interactive experiences like "Paper Ink Calligraphy" and "Intangible Heritage Gold Leaf Art" allowed guests to immerse themselves in traditional Chinese culture.
