Symbolizing nobility, power, and wealth, the snake is a creature rich in positive connotations. In the world of luxury watches and jewelry—an industry often associated with status—the snake has consistently served as a source of inspiration for many prestigious brands. This year, Hublot, Harry Winston, and Jaeger-LeCoultre have unveiled their stunning tributes to the Year of the Snake in watchmaking.
Hublot unveiled the Big Bang Year of the Snake Black Ceramic Watch to mark the celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year. The timepiece intricately blends the snake motif into the dial, case, and strap, demonstrating exceptional craftsmanship. It is a limited edition of just 88 pieces.
Hublot’s zodiac-themed watches have been a tradition since 2016, and the Year of the Snake Black Ceramic Watch is the latest addition to this collection. The watch features the signature skeleton dial of the Big Bang series, with the chronograph movement and a snake design engraved on the dial. The snake is delicately sculpted using gold plating, appearing to elegantly wind its way between the chronograph sub-dials, enhancing the dynamic effect.
In celebration of the Year of the Snake, Harry Winston released a limited edition zodiac watch featuring a snake theme.
This year's zodiac watch is available in two versions—daytime and nighttime—with only 8 pieces of each being made. The number "8" holds special significance in Chinese culture as a symbol of luck, and each watch is individually numbered “x/8” on the gold case back.
For the 2025 Chinese Lunar New Year, Jaeger-LeCoultre introduced the Reverso Tribute Enamel 'Snake' special edition. This limited-edition timepiece is crafted at the brand's Métiers Rares™ atelier, combining the expertise of its master enamellers and engravers to create a truly unique piece.
In addition to the watch, Jaeger-LeCoultre collaborated with global ambassador Ni Ni to release a new short film, as a tribute to the upcoming Spring Festival celebrations.
