After Shanghai and Shenzhen, ZIMMERMANN has now opened its third boutique in China, located at Sanlitun Taikoo Li in Beijing.
Nicky Zimmermann, Creative Director and Co-Founder of ZIMMERMANN, shared, “We are thrilled to open a store in Beijing, such an influential city. Sanlitun Taikoo Li is the perfect place to bring our brand experience to life in this dynamic international neighborhood. It aligns perfectly with ZIMMERMANN’s modern spirit and helps us communicate our brand values more effectively. We’ve been working on this project for a long time, and seeing the store come to fruition is truly exciting.”
The boutique spans 352 square meters across two floors, designed by McQualter Studio, a long-term partner of the brand. The design blends contemporary aesthetics with traditional Chinese craftsmanship. The exterior features custom pale jade-colored ceramic tiles from Jingdezhen ceramic artists, creating an immersive shopping experience for customers.
On the first floor, the boutique showcases product displays, an accessories section, an exclusive appointment lounge, and fitting rooms. A custom seven-panel folding screen by artist Arwin Hidayat adds an artistic flair to the main space. The accessories section is furnished with restored vintage wooden and velvet furniture, complementing the finely crafted woodwork throughout. The adjacent lounge area, with French, Italian, and Dutch wall lamps and a patchwork carpet, creates a stylish and refined atmosphere.
The second floor features a shoe display area and a VIP lounge. The shoe display area is fitted with custom racks and red lacquered wood cabinets, with tiled flooring. The VIP lounge, with its soft, arched ceiling, offers a comfortable space for guests to relax. A striking neon blue sculpture by artist Nabilah Nordin adds a splash of color, making the lounge even more inviting in the evening.
