To celebrate the upcoming 2025 Chinese Snake Year, Burberry has released a festive collection featuring vibrant red tones and traditional Chinese cultural elements. The campaign, which stars brand ambassador Zhang Jingyi, was shot by photographer Walter Pfeiffer and captures the warm, celebratory spirit of the New Year.
The collection’s standout feature is a new red checkered pattern, reimagined with snake motifs that playfully reinterpret the brand's signature B logo. The range includes stylish outerwear such as light winter coats and jackets, along with accessories like bag charms, and silk or cashmere scarves, all designed to spread warmth during the holiday season.
In Chinese culture, bamboo is a symbol of growth, luck, and hope. That’s why Burberry has teamed up with Chinese bamboo artist Qian Lihuai to create a special "Us" series for the collection. The series includes nine unique bamboo sculptures, each telling its own story while collectively sharing themes of love, care, and support. These art pieces are featured in the campaign and displayed in Burberry’s flagship stores and boutique windows.
Qian Lihuai shared, “I've always been drawn to Burberry's signature patterns, and it struck me how the textures and colours have an extraordinary resemblance to the intricate designs found in bamboo weaving. It feels like a natural connection.”
Burberry Brand Ambassador Zhang Jingyi said, "The Year of the Snake is a new beginning - a moment to open a fresh chapter. For me, the best part of this time of year is gathering with loved ones, sharing good food and conversation, and soaking in the festive warmth. Shooting Burberry's campaign gave me a similar sense of connection, especially collaborating with photographer Mr Walter and artist Qian Lihuai. Creating unique festive memories with Burberry was an absolute joy!"
