On December 17, Tiffany celebrated the grand reopening of its Chengdu Taikoo Li flagship store, marking the brand's first-ever three-story flagship in China.
Designed by architect Hugh Dutton, the store's exterior is a blend of artistry and craftsmanship, enhanced by iridescent effects that lend the building an elegant and distinctive flair. Inside, Tiffany Blue accents permeate every corner, creating a luxurious yet welcoming atmosphere.
On the first floor, artist Nancy Lorenz has created a hand-painted custom blue wall, showcasing Tiffany's iconic collections, such as the Tiffany Lock, Tiffany HardWear, Tiffany T, and Tiffany Knot series. The décor also includes elements inspired by Chengdu's vibrant culture—such as a magnificent chandelier inspired by local magnolia flowers, created by artist Andreea Braescu. Additionally, the “star map ceiling,” inspired by New York's Grand Central Station, merges with local cultural elements, subtly linking Tiffany's origins to Chengdu.
The second floor, dubbed the "Love is Everything" floor, features a diamond-inspired window display that captivates customers as they ascend. A work by Italian artist Michelangelo Pistoletto, Color & Light, 2024, adds an extra layer of artistic richness to the space.
In the "Tiffany High Jewelry" salon on the second floor, a custom screen by artist Nancy Lorenz sets the stage for Tiffany's exquisite high jewelry collections, which are displayed in sandblasted glass pyramid cases inspired by designs from Jean Schlumberger's 1950s era. This floor also hosts the only timepiece salon Tiffany has opened in China to date.
The third floor, dedicated to "Lifestyle and VIP Lounges," offers a range of home goods, leather accessories, and children's collections, while the space's private lounges and restaurant provide an intimate and comfortable shopping experience.
The private lounge features a special artwork by Damien Hirst, Tiffany Cute, 2024, which uses vibrant blue tones to capture the ephemeral beauty of a butterfly.
The restaurant's walls, adorned with custom wallpaper, evoke the serene ambiance of Chengdu's People's Park. Sculptures by Arik Levy channel the peaceful charm of a traditional bamboo garden, enhancing the tranquil mood of the space.
In the children's boutique area, the Panda Chair by Brazilian duo Campana Brothers adds a fun, energetic touch, and nods to Chengdu's beloved symbol, the giant panda.
