On November 21, Montblanc officially opened its new flagship boutique in Chengdu Taikoo Li, bringing an innovative concept that blends the brand’s iconic design elements—paper, ink, and nibs—with the rich culture of Chengdu. The boutique celebrates the inspirational power of writing while highlighting Montblanc’s storied legacy in writing culture.
The grand opening was attended by Matthieu Dupont, CEO of Montblanc China; Marco Tomasetta, Montblanc’s Artistic Director; global brand ambassadors Jing Boran and Xin Zhilei; brand ambassador Neo Hou; Molly Wu, General Manager of Chengdu Taikoo Li; and numerous international guests and media representatives.

To mark the opening, Montblanc introduced "100 Years Meisterstück," a limited-time exhibition, showcasing a curated collection of historical Meisterstück writing instruments for the first time in China. Highlights include the original 1924 “Meisterstück 35,” the 1938 Meisterstück 139 with its pioneering nib design, and the 1952 Meisterstück 149, famous for its cigar-shaped silhouette. These pieces chronicle a century of innovation and craftsmanship. The exhibition will remain open until March 17, 2025.
Later that evening, Montblanc hosted the "Montblanc Night of Chengdu 100 Years of Meisterstück," combining timeless writing traditions with contemporary artistic expressions to honor the 100th anniversary of the Meisterstück writing instruments.
Part of Montblanc’s global campaign which debuted in Los Angeles in May 2024, the event celebrates the brand’s enduring legacy and innovation in writing culture through the evolution of its Meisterstück Collection.
The celebration centered on the Meisterstück, featuring Montblanc’s signature black, white, and gold color scheme accented with vintage-inspired yellow and green hues. Drawing from Wes Anderson’s unique aesthetic, the event delivered an imaginative and dynamic experience. Guests were greeted by a striking visual of Mont Blanc’s snow-capped peak on the red carpet, which led to the exhibition. This journey through a century of design evolution offered a deeper appreciation of Meisterstück’s impact. The event also featured large-scale installations of the iconic Meisterstück fountain pen and Montblanc’s six-pointed white star, blending history with contemporary style for a fully immersive brand experience.
